Tough. Protective.

When it comes to hardfacing, the optimum alloy selection for the protective metal plating and welding material is important, and depends on the component service conditions and feedback of the service performance. HP Plate has earned its reputation worldwide, because of the superior materials it has chosen to use when developing its solutions.

Typically, commonly applied materials include cobalt-based alloys (such as stellite), nickel-based alloys, chromium carbide alloys and NOREM.

Wear-Resistant Steel Plate

The hardfacing process begins with the Q235 steel plates, a sturdy, yet pliable metal that provides excellent wear-resistance. The metal can also be molded into different shapes, that allows it to fill the needs of many applications. The most important component of wear protection is hardness. The hardness of HP-Plate is from HV 690 to > 750 (HRC 58 to > 62), depending on requested thickness. The HP products is certified and capable of passing the ASTM G65 test.
